We recommend that you install Anaconda. It provides a fresh version of Python 3 that does not interfere with any other versions of Python that you may have on your computer, and it gives you one-stop shopping for all packages that are used in the book.
To start the Spyder IDE that comes with Anaconda, follow these steps:
anaconda3/bin/spyder
anaconda

app. Then locate Spyder and launch it. You can then pin the application to the dock so that in the future you can launch it from there. The Spyder IDE has a built-in Python console—the window labeled “IPython Console” in the lower right corner. We recommend that you use the console inside Spyder for interactive mode.
Alternatively, for the “classic“ Python console, take these steps.

Anaconda3\python
