Factory Methods

• Every collection can produce an iterator
  Iterator iter = list.iterator()
• Why not use constructors?
  Iterator iter = new LinkedListIterator(list);
• Drawback: not generic
  Collection coll = ...;
  Iterator iter = new ???(coll);
• Factory method works for all collections
  Iterator iter = coll.iterator();
• Polymorphism!
