Synchronizing Object Access

• Typically, a lock object is added to a class whose methods access shared resources, like this:

  public class BankAccount
  {
     public BankAccount()
     {
        balanceChangeLock = new ReentrantLock();
        . . .
     }
     . . .
     private Lock balanceChangeLock;
  }
